This is the Decepticon counterpart to Paddles, using the same gimmick. G1 Scourge's alt mode was always ambiguous, so I just made him a straight up hovercraft. #watertransformers #transformers
Here's the solicitation of Transformers from Marvel Age #17, including the prelim names Blow-Out and Spin-Out.
Can we please ban all new Transformers media from quoting The Transformers: The Movie. We get it, you've seen the movie. Everyone has. From now on all nostalgic quotes have to be from Marvel comics issues 1 to 55. Please submit your suggestions.
Here's another #watertransformers concept. This one is much more of a random merch concept than a mainline toy concept. Basically you flip up the toys and they sorta 'twist' as they turn, changing from water skiis to surf boards. #transformers
Okay... so I was asked to do Beast Wars Megatron AS a rubber ducky for my #watertransformers and I loved the idea... it breaks the alt mode theming, but I couldn't resist. #transformers #megatron
So here's a much bigger design for my #watertransformers designs. An Optimus Prime!! The idea is to make part of the toy inflatable with a built in air pump, but it wouldn't have an absolute seal so he'd slowly deflate as you play. #transformers
Some more #watertransformers today! This time we've got a submarine vs. a penguin. Plus a little sketch from the early design phase trying to work out how you could do water accessories. #transformers
Thoughts on Metroplex? Looks fine. Neat enough. But I feel like everything that makes it a Cybertron/AEC design is gone. No cyber key, no mini-con, no mini-con pegs. Nothing. Just... makes me sad. Less loving homage and more thoughtless regurgitation. #transformers
So here's my second set of water toy transformers. This is a group of good guy sharks and things, designed to work with NERF water pistols. Decepticons will follow eventually #watertransformers #transformers
