4, 6 and 7 next. And they're a little more tricky. They're Generation 2 Skyscorchers... but all coloured incorrectly! In order they're Windrazor (You can see the eagle pattern), Afterburner (you can see the lightning) and Eagle Eye (trust me.) #transformers

Let's work out no 1. I suspect this is G1 Sideswipe, but with a Decepticon insignia on by mistake. I suspect G1 Sideswipe because G2 Sideswipe has a hole on the top of him that G1 doesn't. Plus his insignia is centered, unlike G1 Breakdown. G2 Breakdown came later #transformers

We have GRimlock and Snarl in the image. But are they the G2 versions or the G1 versions? I suspect they're the G2 versions, because this is a G2 #transformers

Let's fill out the easiest to ID guys first! We can see Generation 2 Optimus Prime (Who we can ID by his G2 Prime gun), G2 Megatron and G2 Starscream. After that things get a little harder. #transformers

@alex_lemonds There's an evil Optimus Prime in the VERY FIRST issue of Transformers from Marvel comics. Evil Primes also appear in MULTIPLE later stories, like A Prime Problem, and of course there's Guiltor.

@tinnisart Nope. Oddly enough I think that concept was first explored with Shattered Glass. Transformers did a LOT of time travel, but dimension travel was pretty limitted in G1. The first "Mirror universe" comes from The Killing Jar. But it's just a universe of different colours

@ahriman_c While the "Bring Transformers to life" Aspect is entirely from the Matrix, the "Giant space cube" Aspect, the "launched from Cybertron" aspect and the "Absorbing it kills the main villain" aspect are all from the Underbase directly. 2/2

@GamingCreatin65 You can see the seeds of the idea that your alt mode determines your function all throughout G1. Cameras are spies, and recon experts. Rescue vehicles are the rescue team. Ambulances are all medics, etc. 1/

@Raiyuki_Hime Over in the comics, as far as I know there's no "Autobot becomes a Decepticon" moments. The closest I know of is Flame, an insane Autobot scientist. But while Flame was EVIL and a VILLAIN, he was always an AUTOBOT. 2/
