Some of my own mythological designs turned demons too! My designs aren't originally made to fit the series, so just some I felt could pass as Megaten-esque more easily. 👀

SMT1/2-styled sprites for some familiar demons in the series, but also some obscure and even unused ones. They're just too fun to make!

Kuebiko
In Japanese mythology, a scarecrow god who is unable to move, but holds vast knowledge about all the world, presiding over wisdom, mountains and agriculture. His name means "Crumbling Prince", referring to a scarecrow wasting away while left to the elements.

@TyrantErection @didyaknowtensei @Anthony92981066 @ramuneking Nah, the shading is totally different. It's not even a thing with the card scan, it's literally colored differently in some areas.

The coloring is also consistent with Ifrit's and Indrajit's if you put all three side by side and then compare them to Kaneko's stuff.

Enbarr
In Irish mythology, a magical horse that can traverse both land and water, belonging to the sea god Manannán mac Lir and provided to the god Lugh to use in his battles. Through Enbarr, one may reach otherworlds connected to the gods and the dead beyond the sea.

Snegurochka
A character from Russian fairy tales and an assistant to Ded Moroz, the Slavic Father Christmas, helping him to deliver presents on New Year's Eve. Usually depicted as a young girl with snow-white skin and fair hair, dressed in a blue dress and a characteristic crown.

Gozu Tennoh
A syncretic Japanese deity whose name means "Ox-Headed Heavenly King". Associated with pestilence, he can be prayed to for protection from said pestilence. Closely tied and sometimes conflated with the violent storm kami Susanoo.

Decarabia
A Great Marquis of hell and the 69th demon listed in the Ars Goetia. He can teach his summoner about herbs and precious stones, and is capable of changing shape into any bird and singing in their voice. His form is that of a living pentagram.
