Vidarr, Odin's avenger

In Norse mythology, he's a son of Odin and brother to gods such as Thor and Baldr. Almost as strong as Thor himself, he is destined to avenge his father during Ragnarok, opening Fenrir's jaws with his bare hands and plunging his sword into the beast's maw.

The “Death Gods” of Japanese Folklore. Contrary to their names, Shinigamis are actually a type evil spirit. Due to the influence of western culture, the term nowadays is more commonly associated with the western notion of the Grim Reaper.

The personification of snow and winter in European folklore, and a variation of the Old Man Winter legend. He's the one responsible for bringing cold weather, painting the leaves and leaving fern-like patterns on windows during winter mornings.
