@EthanFleischer @aquelajames We got a lot of Human and Soldier tokens for a while, but then no Human support (Eldraine being non-humans vs. ... knights) until Ikoria, and then not in GW. These are the only new Saproling cards to enter Standard in the time since DOM printed 3 tribal support cards for them.
@desolatethesea Good shit! I don't know if you were also the person I have talked about the author's more creative modern retelling of the poem, but you can borrow that off me if you want.
@TomorrowsKings @Card_Kingdom I love a good classic burn-and-creatures type of aggro deck where you have to spend your spells well to count to 20. That's the yardstick Magic's built around!
@PleasantKenobi OK I'm a bit mad, but that was a great video and you did hit up a really solid set of different mono-red decks. Maybe I'll make an addendum for Jaya on my own. She's like a more sustainable Ashling, or a Hidetsugu who does board control and doesn't make people scared of combos 😎
@ghirapurigears Just a fan of funky creature auras over here.
Oh yeah Cloak of Confusion gets an honourable mention for almost being the second coming of Laccolith Rig, but its Oracle text adds "enchant creature you control" for absolutely no reason. Surely discarding to fog 1 thing is OK?
@mtg_lee Swamps are like the opposite of Islands; there aren't as many nice ones coming out. Seems hard to get just the right amount of colour. Also shoutout to this Ixalan art - I find myself drawn to land art which either features some sort of movement, or invites it by showing a path.
