2019 is an extremely difficult competition between Star Twinkle PreCure and Secret x Heroine Phantomirage. Elena/Cure Soleil was an important character for mixed JP representation. Phantomi cast actual mixed JP people. In the end I'll give it to STPC for the better movie.

2020: Mewkledreamy!

A wholesome, silly good time. Mew is a comfort character, literally every time I hear her voice my heart melts, and Yuni is my evil gremlin cat son. Asahi, also my son. I also enjoyed the sequel just as much, though the ending missed an amazing opportunity.

2021: Tropical-Rouge PreCure

Man, talk about motivational, lmao. This was also the first season where I got really deeply invested behind the scenes as it was airing as well.
