A vaccine is developed using Issé as a test subject and it seems to be working well as he's now doing much better, almost back to a normal human, even though he seems to retain some form of brain damage making it hard for him to speak.

Now back on track, Rick and Issé are finally nearing their destination. Not willing to lose his friends when they're so close to their goal, Rick finds a new leash to attach to Issé's collar after the previous one broke.
