Sekishusai Yagyu, AKA Munetoshi/Muneyoshi Yagyu, is the historical figure who Onimusha 2's "Jubei Yagyu" is based off of. When he was young, he was captured by the chieftain of a rival clan, Junsho Tsutsui, who demanded that Munetoshi teach him the Yagyu art of swordsmanship.
"Ada shuddered, remembering the warped red flesh and trumpeting shrieks of the bizarre creatures that she'd capped in the press room... the long-tongued, clawed, bloody humanoids were an affront to even her sensibilities."

Griffith's smile faded, his dark blue gaze turning icy. "You people have held me up long enough. I'm tired of this game, so I believe that I'm going to have your nice young man kill you..."

Yagyu Munetoshi mastered the art of shinkage-ryu, an innovative style of Japanese swordplay. He shared it with many figureheads for both theatric and practical uses, including the legendary Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Munetoshi (under the name Jubei) is the lead protagonist of Onimusha 2.
"My name is... Gogandantess, the greatest swordsman of all demons!"
