I illustrated this series of posters for my friend back in 2012. He wanted to have his favorite shows represented and it was my goal to have them all feel like a cohesive series. I took cues from Saul Bass and used hands and repeating lines to accomplish that.
If @HOMAGE were to create any of these Columbus staples into a shirt/sweatshirt, I'd buy it so fast.
This little guy was unfinished and abandoned, but eventually became the whale on the mural. He's living his best life now swimming in artboards beyond the sea.
When I was asked to submit 3 designs for an @INCH_x_INCH button pack, I tried a few things before settling on a "Motivational Pencil Pack."
See following tweet for the final pack.

This tattoo illustration was my submission for Permanent Records, a fun project where I had to design a tattoo based on a song. I chose "The Eagle and the Hawk" by John Denver. I had about half-a-dozen songs and concepts drawn but this was the one I liked the most.
My daughter and I used to watch Totoro almost every day. One of those times, I saw him roll over and make this shape and was inspired to illustrate him that way! Took 3 sketches for me to find that sweet spot where I was happy with the form. It's still one of my favs.
Sometimes an idea might come to me and I'll just need to sketch it a few times before taking into Adobe Illustrator. It's amazing what a few simple shapes can imply!
Learning more about Roy Lichtenstein and came across this beauty, "Aspen Winter Jazz Poster (1967)." Sketch and final!😍
