When I was learning to perfect vector textures, I would practice by illustrating geometric animals. This chameleon is an oldie but goodie since I used him in the "Creating Vector Textures" online class I taught.

I loved this monogram a ton, but ultimately that one didn't work either. At the end of the day, the client wanted to go a completely different route that wasn't compatible with our process/style. We amicably parted ways...and that's ok! It happens.
I've made approximately one illustration for myself in the past year just for fun. Some of my favorite pieces (below) have all come from the practice of play! I publicly promise to do a better job in 2020.
