I finished this abstract two weeks ago. Sometimes, I get excited about the newest piece so I skip over a few. I like posting them in order, so I can use my feed to document my art journey.

This was in my table late into the night last night. This is the first wash after the drawing. Trying to find the colours.

I am shocked at the direction my work wants to go. I always thought my portraits would be less realistic. This realism has been mastered through the ages and how can I compete with an artist like Eugene Delacroix.

Working away here. My 30 minute wet sketch. It must be subconscious but this reminds me of the German Expressionist’s (love) black outlines. Yes, I work a lot. For no reason but to feed my creative beast. Imagine if I produced art full time, instead of the teaching all week.

This is the last new painting in my stash right now. I am SO busy these days. Life really gets in the way of art most days. I will be scrambling for a ‘post of the day’ for tomorrow. I honestly can not believe I could keep up with new work daily this long and teach full time.
