Grace in Jessie Wong's piece has skin which is the same value as her shirt, while in reference media, her skin is one step darker in value than her shirt. Her skin should be two steps darker than the lightest color (ignoring pure white) while in Wong's piece it is only one step. https://t.co/zMXXKCB2il

You can use any color you want to color a character, as long as you keep your values consistent in relation to eachother (light, mid, and dark tones)
