Rereading SBR again and I forgot just how much Gyro hates everyone he comes across (except Johnny), like he even dislikes Tim for no reason 😂 This just makes his willingness to have Johnny join him so much more amazing to me, like he really respects Johnny that much

Chocolate Disco, Gyro is continuing on because he's put Johnny's needs above his own. Gyro's goals shift along the way to being about fulfilling Johnny's dreams. This is why I think of this panel so much, it's like Gyro is content with doing all of this for his dear friend

I ask because I keep making Gyro's top more of a leotard the more I draw him and I'm curious on what people think 😂

Something I hadn't given much attention to on both my reads of SBR is the pure look of shock on Gyro's face when Johnny gets shot. This is still around the time where Gyro is not yet willing to admit to himself how important Johnny is to him too
