The original #Frazetta LOST ON VENUS art was hanging on a wall of the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. office when a fan group visited in 2012 (https://t.co/2TEZfkGo2I), and may still. You can see it in the upper right of the last photo below, along with other #Frazetta/#ERB cover art.
Great news from @AmericanMytho: after "Fear on Four Worlds," it will publish an all-new, @CarsonOfVenus miniseries written by @cpcarey (whose novel SWORDS AGAINST THE MOON MEN perfectly matched #ERB's style and storytelling verve) and illustrated by the great Michael Wm Kaluta.

"The Venus Captive" by Mike Hoffman illustrates the closing scene in #ERB's PIRATES OF VENUS as the angan leaves with Duare, presumably carrying the princess to safety.

Frank #Frazetta on his two covers: "The first version was too busy and a little stiff. I had a lot of detail in there that was unnecessary. When I got the chance to paint it again, I corrected the whole design. I took a lot out. The second version is far superior artistically."
#ERB in 1937, #ERB began work on his third Amtor novel, CARSON OF VENUS, which he finished less than four weeks later. "Argosy Weekly" serialized it in early 1938. #CarsonOfVenus
