- Hayate is infamous in the clan for "picking up strays" and Oboro is newest of the children hes taken in
- There are about 6 shinobi in Hayates flock Oboro being the youngest
- Hayato, Hiroki, Mao, Sachiko, Ruiwen, Oboro from oldest to youngest are his "flock"

- he was found in a fisherman's net as a baby because this boy is not (fully) human he is a ningyo or at least half one
- his fish features appear when hes in water for a long period of time hes not the biggest fan of said features so he tends to avoid being in water for too long
