Charles Blount, Baron #Mountjoy, Lord Deputy of #Ireland, had a production given of The Tragedy of Gorboduc, on 7 Sept., 1601, at #Dublin Castle. Elizabeth I was fond of it & the production was part of an elaborate celebration of her birthday.
