@PaulAllor A veteran of Pakistan's Frontier Corps, Frontier became the field team leader character we introduced when it was decided early on that we weren't going to use Flint.
We liked Flint, though, and we were aware he has a lot of fans.
How did I miss this?

Since our Joes will be operating mostly from underground, I pretty early on decided on signature jackets as one way to make each character stand out on its own, while also being able to go on undercover missions (especially the field team members). #GIJoe
@PaulAllor Eventually we decided to go back to his more trademark blonde crew-cut to keep him more easily recognizable.
@PaulAllor Which I assumed also meant all the original characters would have to be relatively older in this series. So my first thought was "military combat Superman in his 50s". That's why my initial version of Duke was more of a silver fox granite rock statue.
