My sketches for my Maeve Binchy illo & initial colour version. The AD talked me down from my crazy clown palette to something softer/warmer (see last pic).
It was supposed to be on the cover, but got switched last minute so I hope to get to do another cover sometime!!! :P
Back in July I got the opportunity to draw a portrait of Maeve Binchy for the @irishtimesmag . I haven't got to do a portrait in ages, and it was cool to do someone as ICONIC as Maeve Binchy. Thanks to AD @ciaraky !!
