Gen 3 Let's Go!!!

It was the very first Starter I ever picked in the very first game I've ever played (Ruby) so admittedly I've got some nostalgia for it

It has a cool design and it's fun to use in game (provided you're not facing Wattson 😵)

Feraligatr is pretty cool. It's pretty solid in game.

Tho cutting to the chase, I'm not gonna lie and pretend that I don't have War Flashbacks of it's Gen 3 Back Sprite.

I like how Croconaw's design reminds me of a caveman lol

Again nice Mohawk lol

Totodile is quite the goofy little fellow!
But it's charming and always happy and I like that about it.

Despite liking Chikorita and Cyndaquil more I always end up picking Totodile more than often not every time I play Johto Games

If there was any Pokémon Starter that fit the very definition of
"It just gets Bigger" Typholosion would definitely be it.

Typholosion on it's own is fine but it bothers me that there's not much to distinguish it from Quilava

Quilava still stay utterly Adorable in it middle stage

The fire "mohawk" is a nice look for it's "Teenage Phase" lol

Cyndaquil is quite possibly the cutest Gen 2 Base Stage Starter in my opinion

I love it's voice in the anime and I want to protect it dearly (tho not as much as a certain later gen starter that I'll get to later 🤭)

Meganium I do like.

I can definitely see why people say it looks quite bland tho.

I know the phrase "Less is More" is a thing but imo Meganium falls too far into the "Less" and not enough "More"

Not much to say about Bayleef. It looks simple yet cool I suppose.

Onwards to Gen 2 we Go!

Chikorita gets a lot of (undeserved) hate since people don't know how beat Falkner and Bugsy with it but I think it is ADORABLE! 💖

Also being the first "Feminine" looking Starter in the Gen that gender differences was a nice touch
