Cyndaquil is quite possibly the cutest Gen 2 Base Stage Starter in my opinion

I love it's voice in the anime and I want to protect it dearly (tho not as much as a certain later gen starter that I'll get to later 🤭)

Meganium I do like.

I can definitely see why people say it looks quite bland tho.

I know the phrase "Less is More" is a thing but imo Meganium falls too far into the "Less" and not enough "More"

Not much to say about Bayleef. It looks simple yet cool I suppose.

Onwards to Gen 2 we Go!

Chikorita gets a lot of (undeserved) hate since people don't know how beat Falkner and Bugsy with it but I think it is ADORABLE! 💖

Also being the first "Feminine" looking Starter in the Gen that gender differences was a nice touch

Now Mega Blastoise looks pretty good. The cannons are more noticeable.

My only qualm is that I wish it got a secondary Typing since most of the other Megas gained a second Typing

Wartortle is probably my favorite member of this line! I like it's Wing "ears" and it's swirly tail!
It somewhat reminds me of the Flying Koopas from the Super Mario Bros games

Also I like it's color scheme

Now that I'm out of that wild fire it's time to cool down.

Anyways Squirtle is cool! I like it's voice and the memes that come with it!

But by GODS This thing's EVERYWHERE!

I get why it's popular but man I'm tired of it's overexposure

Charmeleon is cool. Again not much to say here.

Tho I will admit it's edgy persona in the anime kinda turned me off of it

Out of the forest and into the Frying Pan now.

Anyways I like Charmander! It is quite the cutie!
