I think the "ki clone/illusion" that Granolah did could two things.
It could be similar to the Whis and UI Goku clones we saw in 68.
Meaning that UI leads to new moveset and abilities.

Or it's something from Spirit Control with Yardrats?

All of these images show that Base Goku Does NOT have God ki. The Zen expo, was the first clear cut piece of evidence. Toppo is a mortal who has God ki in base, as a result of the training with Belmod. All the gods can still sense Gokus regular ki....until god and blue.
