There are too many things to say about #Syaoran to summarize in a few tweets, and this thread is only supposed to simply feature the CLAMP characters celebrating their bdays on April 1st & I wrote WAY too much about the plot already😅 TRC is one of #CLAMP greatest works, READ it!

#Sakura and #Syaoran are definitely childhood sweethearts, even though they never got the chance to actually confess to each other before Sakura lost her 'feathers' and both ended up going on a long journey.

Boyish looks,messy hair & amber eyes. Sincere, curious, loving & sometimes shy, he is a brave boy going on a journey exploring fantastic worlds to save his most important person.

As we delved further into the story & secrets got uncovered one after the other while dramatic accidents happened, the relaxed & funny moments became fewer while Watanuki discovered distressing & painful truths about himself & his parents, sinking deeper into the darkness.

Watanuki was first introduced as an irritable high school student with a crush on the beautiful Himawari & stuck with Doumeki for better or for worst😂
His past was a bit obscure, but nothing seemed too strange either? He ends up as the witch Yuuko's...cook? Maid?😂"part-timer"😂

He is definitely one of CLAMP's most complex & interesting characters: with an inscrutable mind, a beautiful appearance but a dark nature, an astonishing duality in his personality, cruel actions but a red string of fate attached to Subaru for better or for worst...

He is disliked by many for obvious reasons, but I never felt that way.
Is it indifference? Am I not invested in him enough to have strong feelings toward him? Is it bcs I was 1st introduced to CLAMP works in the 90s through X & TB, so I was 'used to' tragedy & even expected it?
