A little old vs. new to help keep me motivated and remind myself that I have in fact improved, even if it isn’t always noticeable to me.

Wanted to do a quick, more simple painting. Still ended up probably making it more complex than I should have. But it does feel clearer than past paintings.

Got pretty close to the reference, which I’m really happy with because I don’t really draw side profiles much.

Okay, so there’s definitely an improvement visible between my drawings of Daisy from a year ago and from now 😅

I have a really bad habit of over complicating my art. The simpler pieces I feel end up being a lot more appealing and easier to read.

Also, since I’m very much still learning, it’s probably better that I focus on simpler basics rather than muddying things up w overwork.
