Portrait practice using Narumi from Wotakoi as reference
Initial scripting started on Aug 24. There was about a week and a half of practicing a more comic friendly style, and then I started rough layouts on Sep 3rd.
The initial goal was a 10 page comic by Oct 14. This morphed into ~20 pages around Sep 11, because I am not smart.
Some other renditions of Annie over the year, who use as a base to track how my art grows.
There’s definitely a period where I kind of went overkill with painting. I think I’ve slowly migrated back to simplicity, and I’ll reintroduce complexity at a more controlled pace.
Here’s to my one year Anniversary of deciding to take art seriously as a pursuit. Looking forward to year 2.

I desperately need to take a break and draw something cute to break things up. But I’m also horrendously behind on the Halo comic as it is 😢 (and it’s not even a huge project)
