Switched up the mouth expression. Going to go for a little more hopeful feel. Time to pause again though because about to watch Parasite :)

Nice improvement from a little over a month ago. The lineart is a little better integrated. Slightly better value range. And I think the face structure is much better as well. Hair also feels more natural.

Two weeks ago, Tomonori Kogawa told me to not just try and be as good an artist as my grandma but to work until I was better than her.

Today at New Years dinner I showed my grandma my painting, and she said I was better than her.

I still have a ways to go but it meant a lot.
