I was rejected for a (non art) job which was a bit of a downer, but little comments like this really make my day.

Still have this piece in the pipeline but I’m waiting a little bit before revisiting it since I’m focusing on portraits for now

@vyx_leaf I’m Dani! Aka Dagger6. I picked up art again recently and have found it to be a wonderful outlet. Right now I’m focusing on portraits but I love framing things like a movie film still.

My favorite artist is Sui Ishida!

I’m kind of enjoying this approach to painting. I do a very abstract color blocking, put in the base colors, and then go back over that. I used it for some of my past pieces as well.

Also my layer management is like my driving: terrible.

I think it’s safe to say @gracezhuart’s portrait class has been a pretty good investment for me. This is about one month’s worth of progress.

Having a lesson, homework, and having her paint over the work to show how it could be improved is incredibly valuable.

Is it still considered a “shitpost” if you spend an indordinate amount of time and effort making it?
