#16 we get the culmination of the two's relationship of the series. Shiva letting Cass take this moment against the League mooks that Ra's left to show WHY she deserves the things that haven't been given to her.

Regardless, Shiva's legacy lives on threefold in the franchise as Cass is still among the living and well, Shiva unknowingly taught someone who took her teachings well and put them oh to good use. And a nifty statue.

Cass and Shiva meet again. But this time. THIS TIME. SHIVA SAYS THE WORDS. 😭😭😭

The moment we get SOMETHING new. Just something. It's taken from us just as we got it.

Shiva has other plans. Again, the layers of her figuring it out. Not to mention going to the clocktower. Waltzing past a paralyzed Barbara probably to get Cass's gear. Can one imagine that convo or look?

But was the parentage truly necessary? I'll go more into that when I do. For now, #25 has arrived and so has Shiva in all her glory.

Of all the issues so far it's this one that lays the seeds for the eventual revelation that Shiva is Cass's mother. The context is heavy in the story as Shiva even looks like an older Cass as she emerges from the Sensei who taught her a specific technique that'll tie into #25.

Is it truly a cheap shot if Shiva didn't see it coming? 😝
