Due to purity of the Guru's message & his enormous popularity, even Muslim pir's also became followers of Guru Arjan, & even Hindu saints, yogis, sidhas became Sikhs &adherents of the Guru; for first time the new Sikh religion, had became the prominent popular religion of Punjab.
The youngest son of Guru Ram Das Ji, Guru Arjun Dev compiled and collated the Hymns of previous Sikh Gurus and other Bhagats as the foundation of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Today, ੨ ਵੈਸਾਖ, is the Gurta Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. He was seated at the throne of Guru Nanak in ੧੬੬੪ and was the ninth Sikh Guru.

Sahibzaada Ajit Singh was accompanied by five Sikhs. At first they poured a rain of arrows on the enemy. He fought like a hero. Soon his stock of arrows was exhausted. He took out his lance and sprang upon the enemy. He was wounded but he fought on as bravely as ever.
Bhai Ude Singh fought a bloody battle at Shahi Tibbi. The enemy surrounded and killed the dauntless and the bravest of the Guru's brave warriors, Ude Singh. When the battle of Shahi Tibbi was in progress, Guru Gobind Singh Ji had reached the bank of Sirsa river.
Bhai Daya Singh & Ude Singh walked in front of Guru Ji, Mohkam Singh and Sahib Singh on his right, the second batch of baptized Sikhs on his left. His sons the legendary hereos of Chamkaur, Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Shaheed Baba Jujhar Singh Ji followed with bows and arrows.
Sikhs refused to wait even for a day at Anandpur Fort. Guru Sahib repeated his request saying that the enemy would retire soon and they would all be happy. He also warned the Sikhs," O dear Khalsa, you are rushing to your destruction, while I am endeavoring to save you."
Nanak was born in Nankana Sahib near Lahore. His father was the local tax collector for the village. There are many accounts which tell of Nanak’s early spiritual awakening. He was said to be a precocious child with particular insights into religious teachings and philosophy.
