Maria Sybilla Merian's 'Insects of Surinam' (1705) was a particular hit with this morning's tour group for #icepops22 International Copyright-Literacy Event of @morethanadodo's Library and Archive.

Day 25 of #Archive30 'Fashion'
@morethanadodo holds the enormous collection of papers, drawings and insects of John O. Westwood, the first Hope Professor of Zoology. This includes some of his work equipment and teaching aides as well as his fashionable spectacles and shoes.
Day 7 of #Archive30 'Famous archives'
The dodo is an iconic specimen @morethanadodo, but it is believed that Lewis Carroll, author of 'Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland,' was actually inspired by Jan Savery's 1651 painting of the infamous extinct species displayed in the Museum
Day 17 of #Museum30 ‘Unique Object’
While the archive has an abundance of papers related to research on the natural world, the archive preserves only one pair of shoes which belonged to John Obadiah Westwood, the first Hope Professor of Zoology @morethanadodo
And summer is over. Starting year 2 of @InfoSchoolSheff distance learning Library & ISM MA today. At least I have a packet of Lego to ease me back into it... #librarylife
