@electrifiedmeat that's Mulberry! she's the anxious protagonist of one of my non-MD stories, Harmony Hill Cemetery. For some reason, her ampullae of lorenzini can detect ectoplasm, allowing her to see/talk to spirits, a skill she use to solve ghost problems and solve mysteries.

the other, truer answer to that ask is i also that tend to habitually put gills on creature/character designs for no real reason other than i think it looks cool

was asked on tumblr if milkweed and charlie's species were related, but they're not, it's just that charlie's kind have their appearance basically generated by a magic RNG and some of his features (pointy ears, gills, perpetual Bl face) happen to line up with some of hers
