In Venser's sketch I initially had his hood up, but it wasnt working particularly well later on. I came back to the idea with his other card Shaper Savant. Also in the sketch, I faded the bottom of him in indicating teleportation. Unfortunately, it clashed with the PW card format

Here is the black & green legendary creature Jarad, Golgari Lichlord. I emailed in my 1st sketch and the feedback was essentially: too muscular/healthy and his pose was too placid and passive. So I started the elf lich over with a commanding pose and a more zombified body type.
