Meanwhile, in Spain. Milky Way Ediciones have licensed Boku no Giovanni by Hozumi, master of nostalgia & one of Flowers magazine’s greatest young talents. This is a dramatic josei manga series about the friendship and rivalry between two cello players with 3 volumes out so far 🎶

But I did love Meguro Amu's Honey (So Sweet)! Disarmingly cute and innocent, the perfect romance shoujo manga to enjoy under a warm blanket when the weather is horrible! 8 volumes, transl. available by Viz, Soleil, Star Comics... It also got a movie adaptation earlier this year🍯

Meguro Amu's Te o tsunagou yo/Let's Hold Hands ends its run in this month's Betsuma. The last comic volume of the series (# 8) will hit stores on December 25. The color illustrations for it were always really sweet but I never really warmed up to the series as a whole tbh...

Rio & Kazuomi from Sakisaka Io's FuriFura are on the festive cover of Betsuma's Dec issue. Masuda Riho contributed a one-shot to the extra book coming with the mag. She also drew the cover for it. Happy to see one of my favorite young shoujo manga artists is finally back! 🏪🌟

Tsurutani Kaori has 2 new books out: vol 2 of Metamorphose no Engawa in which a girl & a 75-y.o. lady bond over BL manga. And “don't like this” about illustrator Megumi who breaks through her wall of loneliness when she picks up a new hobby: fishing, often in very unusual places.
