Hidaka Shōko’s department store saga Hi ni Nagarete Hashi ni Iku is on cover of Cookie’s May issue. The line-up also includes Yuki Nachi’s Boku no Ie ni Oide Wedding spin-off, Shitara Masako's Osomatsu-san & Mochida Aki’s josei hit HajiKoi which picks up where volume 8 left off.

Also in Kiss #5: Ariga Rie’s Perfect World & Ishida Takumi’s Kakafukaka. Both have a TV drama coming up with premiere dates in April. Good news for fans of TV series based on josei manga, especially now that the TV drama based on Mochida Aki's HajiKoi (Cookie/Shueisha) has ended!

Shimura Takako’s adult yuri series Otona ni natte mo (Even if you become an adult) starts in the May issue of josei magazine Kiss, out now. Ayano, an elementary school teacher in her 30s, meets a woman at a bar. They instantly connect and soon their lives will be changed forever.

Ishida Takumi’s sexy yet complicated josei manga series Kakafukaka is getting a live-action TV drama adaptation. It stars Morikawa Aoi, Nakao Masaki, Yūki Kōsei & Nakamura Risa. Fukuda Momoka is set to direct the series premiering Apr 25 on MBS, a day later on Amazon Prime Video.

Protagonist Miyako secretly watches how a girl called Kaido confesses (too late!) to Sugano, one of Miyako's best friends - hoping he’ll remember her and the color of the school uniform they’ll never wear again, when the cherry blossoms bloom 🏫🌸

I can't wait to read the new series by one of LaLa’s best newcomers, Kurokawa Komachi: Inu no Naku Mura is a suspense series about a village under the spell of an inugami. In last year's Oedo no Kamisama she combined her cute art with shintō elements in a really charming way ⛩️

The LaLa May issue with the finale of Yumeki Mitsuru’s Sabaku no Harem comes with a slider bag for Tokeino Hari's Gakuen Baby Sitters + the artist’s first one-shot in 7 years, about two actors in Romeo & Juliet. Gakuen Babysitters (publ. in French by Glénat) returns in LaLa #6 🍼

It'd be interesting to know the motivation for not releasing a stand-alone print edition of D.N.Angel #16. Are they trying to improve the dwindling sales numbers for ASUKA or do they think there's only little interest in D.N.Angel (which used to have a considerable fanbase)? 🤔
