Incredibly poetic and technically masterful watercolor still lives by American artist Mark Adams (1925-2006)
Currently obsessed with the designs of German & Austrian “Notgeld”, emergency money produced by local principalities when the state-controlled central bank wasn’t able to make enough currency. Primarily made during WW1, often featuring city landmarks/symbols (and expiry dates.)
I had such a blast creating this poster for Melissa Smrekar’s upcoming show in Dallas. Imagery inspired by an illustration in an old Girl Scout’s manual (which dangerously validated my hoarding it for the last 3 years). Go see her perform if you're in the area this February!
I finally got a bitmoji and feel weirdly seen by its accuracy
