Popularity would be nice, obviously, but it's not a factor to determine what, or if I draw.
I don't draw for numbers, I draw for people, friends, and most importantly, myself.
It's about expressing myself, making some lines, and just having fun.

But in isolation, every year that goes by, I can look at my own art compared to even just a year ago, and say "Yeah, haha, my art sucked. But that was then, and I've improved."

Just realize that your current work underneath your hand, is in fact, better than your old art. Your next drawing will be your best, even with it's flaws.

Remember, when making art, your biggest fan should be you.
You'll always see your own flaws, so learn to see what you enjoy in your own work. If you can do that, you'll improve.
