No. 24: a tribute to the great Niki Lauda, one of my heroes and architect of possibly the greatest sporting comeback of all time.

Nos. 22 & 23: back to Worksop Town. These were presents for the presentation night at the end of last season - they're photographer Lewis (along with the manager) and programme editor Dev.

Nos. 20 & 21: I'd finally got myself a regular customer at this stage! Like a number of my pieces, these were presents. Good idea, eh? Hint hint...

Nos. 17, 18 & 19: a load of pieces for Harworth Colliery FC.

No. 16, and a real milestone, as it was the first time I was able to convince someone to part with actual, factual money for a piece...

No. 15, and it's Sheffield Wednesday legend Chris Waddle. My style is pretty much set by now: however, I'm still not that good with fine detail here, as you can see from the slightly sloppy badges.

No. 14: back to Worksop Town (sorry), and the last time I attempted to actually bother drawing someone's face. Think it came out OK but it was a bloody pain in the arse. Since then I've stuck to my own "faceless" style.

No. 13: two kids enjoying their first World Cup last year. It was the first time I'd been asked to draw someone's kids: it's become a quite popular request since.

Nos. 11 & 12: the first one I actually got paid for, even if it was just in football clothing! Leeds United's John Pemberton and his son Max, who plays for (that's right) Worksop Town.

Still waiting for some of the clothing, Max...

No. 10: finally, a break from the Worksop Town ones. This is a tribute to Roland Ratzenberger, drawn to mark 25 years since his death at Imola.
