Firstly. I rarely actually erase parts, especially when I'm first crashing them together. Use a Layer Mask! You can fuck around with the mask to show and hide parts of the layer without actually losing the pixels. Saves a lot of time <3

So here's the parts I settle on using.

First up. I love Retro's version of the Hornet, but it's bad for what I want.
