An aquatic dragon from my “Dark Woods” book.

A new denizen of the lost plateau of Project:Tepui. Commissioned by a Kickstarter backer, this isn’t based on an actual dinosaur, but instead combines elements of several species, with a generous sprinkling of whimsy on top. 🦖

I’ve wanted to do a speculative reconstruction of Dilophosaurus for ages, so anyway…

If you’re really, really old, like me, you might remember the Dino Riders toys of the 1980s. Well, the Monoclonius was the inspiration for this commissioned painting for the Project Tepui book.
