Patlabor The Movie (‘89). The 2nd film gets a lot of love, but the first shouldn’t be ignored. Mamoru Oshii’s fun action/thriller has an engaging central mystery. It offers glimpses of the existential themes the director would later explore while keeping the tone light.

WB/DC has been on a roll with their recent films, and #BirdsOfPrey is no exception. Had an absolute blast with it! Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor absolutely own every single scene they’re in. Cathy Yan has delivered a delightful, sugar rush of a film and I’m totally up for more!
