19) An Eye For An Eye by @raveninblue
Queer revenge fantasy take on the myth of Houyi shooting down sun ravens and Chang E ascending to the moon. Short and angsty and 1000% my JAM.

18) Battery Acid by @theyoungdoyler and @fishuuuu
Promised myself I'd only include ONE baseball comic on this list. This is it. The swing (lol) from action panels to close up character moments is so crisp, intense yet quiet energy. Love it, need more.

16) Meal by @bluedelliquanti and @hooleil
Follows a young chef's passion and apprenticeship in insect cuisine. It also delves into politics that exist between sharing one's cultural memories through food and the commodification of food traditions for the (Western) mainstream.
15) Super Itis by @richiepope
This is another comic that I can practically TASTE while reading. The layout on every page is made up of three static horizontal panels, yet the progression and flow of the visuals are so dynamic (and delicious).

8) Mami by @toucan_party
You know how some comics just emanate FLAVOR when you read it? Mami does that. The warm palette, the flirty cat-and-mouse romance between a gumshoe and art thief, the FOOD illustrations? Spicy. Delicious. Yummo.

7) Bug Boys by @LauraKnetzger
The Bug Boys minicomics were probably among the first zine-like things that I collected when I started attending comics fests years ago! I've followed the many charming easy-going tales of Stag-B and Rhino-B ever since.
4) Gourmet Hound by @leeehama
Probably one of my favorite webtoons/comics about food and relationships. I love the characters, their growth throughout the comic, the heartfelt and comedic moments were all so deeply memorable!

2) Witch Hat Atelier by Shirahama Kamome
Has it all: tightly plotted intrigue, great characters, magic system based on practice of drawing, gorgeous inks, and panel layouts I keep going back to study over and over.
In no particular order:
1) Seven Little Sons of the Dragon by Ryoko Kui
A collection of shorts by the mangaka of Delicious in Dungeon (which is also great) loosely themed on "dragons." I love the way Kui's style shifts to fit the mood and themes of each story!
@ruemxu The buns are SO IMPORTANT!
He has some semblance of them in GBF (I love him tho)
