Here we go Southern California.

Are you ready?

The EURO model is showing isolated 1 foot rain totals from this one storm. Much of the metropolitan SFV and SGV could see 5.00+"

The next Western heatwave has begun today and will grow in size and strength over the next 7 days.

90s have already resurfaced in Los Angeles and 100s are expected soon across inland valleys, deserts, and the Central Valley this week.

Early October may feature another heatwave.

GFS is indicating 40 foot wave heights in the open ocean with this upcoming Alaskan storm.

59 231

CFS weeklies are indicating a significant heat wave will occur over the U.S. West during the final week of September.

The same model keeps the heat cranking into October. The GFS sees it too.

The hottest September ever recorded is in progress for much of the U.S. West.

There is another significant heatwave coming for the western U.S. during the 3rd week of September.

Forecast temperature anomalies for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon next week across the U.S. West will be insane.

Everyone from the California coast to North Dakota will be 10 - 25 degrees above average.

We're on day 2 of 8 for this thing. An astounding heatwave.

I'm going to have to get up out of bed here and check Pasadena's rainfall records... I do not believe there is a completely dry Feb-Mar on record, and we may be about to do just that.

February is our wettest month of the year, March is the 3rd.

An incredible map showing the percent of average precipitation observed since the calendar year began.

LOOK at California... almost half that state has seen less than 5% of average rainfall including Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and Sacramento.

It simply hasn't rained in 2022.

It is honestly amazing how when California finally gets our much needed rainfall, everyone around us begins suffering extreme weather impacts...

- Record warmth, freezing rain in Alaska
- Record cold in B.C., Washington
- Record warmth in Texas, major tornado outbreaks, etc.

A semi-arid desert classification is averaging <14" of rainfall per year, which downtown Los Angeles entered this year.

A desert climate classification is averaging <10" or less per year.

Some parts of *coastal California* in Ventura Co. picked up as little as 2" this year!
