Why does FE let me romance everyone when there's one clearly superior choice
I forgot I had the GBA conversation maker tbh
Ninian pushes the plot along in so many just stupid ways, with everything from plot convenient amnesia (Which is never explained) to sudden dues ex machina revivals for no reason, she's a complete mess. And since Eliwood spends so much screen time with her, he suffers for it
The map diversity has also improved, with rout and defend maps breaking up the seize fest of FEs prior. It helps infantry units work more, it makes chugging along a lord less of a problem, its much more varied.
And the side characters? Whew lad there are some great ones. Legault and Wallace are both top 5 in the series, and characters like Canas, Gietz, Nino, Jaffar, etc. are all absolutely amazing characters. This is a good roster for sure.
Lyn mode, while largely pointless story wise, is a fun self contained story. Lyn has her character arc, goes through it, and her merry little band has their time to shine. Its no breadwinner, but an nice little tale
The map design does him no favors either. If you have to lug him around, at least let the maps be fairly small so he doesnt have to go far. But nope, the maps in FE6 can be pretty huge, and leads this to being one of the most cavalry dominant games in the series.
Its side villains work great too. Gale, Murdock, and Brunnya are all amazing villains with their own motives and personalities. I can't stand Narcian personally, but I get his point, and the quality of the other 3 more than make up for it.
FE6 has 54 playable characters, and of that large roster, I honestly only dislike 4 of them. The other 50 are meh at worst and phenomenal at best. Its not my favorite roster, but it certainly is up there- probably my second favorite roster in the series.
Well he DOES have weapon advantage
