In KoF'99, the ending for Team Korea shows Chang and Choi brutally murdering Kim and Jhun, marking a new, Kim-less era in the KoF Timeline.

He is only held back by the weight around his wrists.
In Street Fighter (the game), Ryu wears slippers while Ken goes around barefoot, something that applies to both their art and sprite sheet, making them a bit more than headswaps of each other.
They're associated with martial arts and are common in both fiction and real life.

His theme in Marvel Super Heroes is different. Shuma Gorath, Spider-Man, Captain America and Hulk got to carry their themes through all three of the mentioned games.
In King of Fighters, the Masters Team refers to the team between Takuma Sakazaki, Heidern and either Saisyu Kusanagi or Chin Gentsai.
Their only appearances as a proper team are in '98, '98UM and '02UM, so it's not canonly a team that's ever formed.
