@blekiscool Nope, Cave Story
One-man made indie game, platformer shooter that plays like both Metroid and Mega Man, it's really good, also the story is so goood
I don't know if you're joking or not but at the risk that you may not be, that's my serious answer
SNK (or ADK in this case since they developed the game) also has a blatant Fist of the North Star expy from World Heroes 2 and its Jet boss, Zeus, named after the Greek god himself. He’s modeled after both Raoh and Souther.
Geese is an expy of Souther from Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star. Apart from the clothing, they have the same facial features, evil smile, and hair style.
Part of Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama had their gloves based on Star Platinum from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Tekken 1's design of Devil Kazuya is very VERY close to Star Platinum from the shape of his face and its patters, hair, down to his clothes and coloration.
In this interview with 4gamer, on top of sharing development tricks similar to what would be shown at their GDC talk, ArcSystem Works shared screenshots of a beta version of Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- in which Sol, in his Vastedge XT design, seems to be fighting an impostor.
In the first two Vs. games, the Death Valley stage has a Blanka cameo that removes him when Charlie/Shadow is fighting, either swapping Blanka with Beast or leaving Beast alone.
This references the Street Fighter movie where Charlie is turned into Blanka by Shadaloo.
@secretwrestlin1 The submission included these other pics that I didn't include because I thought they were unnecessary/spider suits looked cooler/real lady in a bikini could get me shot
Not sure if that makes this actually accurate, but if it doesn't I'll take this down and (slap the submitter)
The Wraith from Saturday Night Slam Masters has a supernatural gimmick, made famous by The Undertaker and Papa Shango. He's undead, just like The Undertaker.
He makes references to famous horror movies at the time, with his 180° head spin being one to The Exorcist.
In Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, Tiny Tiger has an alternate costume called "Red General Tiny" which bears a heavy resemblance to M.Bison's attire, sporting wings on the hat and metal wristbands, which the other General costumes lack.
It's unconfirmed if it's deliberate.
Sarah and Nina practically helped kickstarted a trend for blonde female warriors wearing a spandex body suit. This translated to Zero Suit Samus, Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 5, and Cassie Cage from Mortal Kombat X.
