Outworld 2375 AD is a 1993 racing game for the SEGA Mega Drive, intended for use with the Heartbeat Catalyst (a body-mounted fitness sensor). Sold in very limited numbers, it might not be long until you can actually play it!

Aphasia was a promising and late Amiga space shooter, which had a bit of a Menace feel to it. It was cancelled due to lack of development time and has yet to be found and preserved.

Night Hunter was looking to be a promising C64 conversion of a Ubisoft game, with great gfx and sound. Major development issues resulted in the programmer leaving the project and work halting completely. Thankfully some previews managed to sneak out:

Hi @nickpelling - had a contributor get in touch who was intrigued why the game was called "Super Hang On" at the top of the game screen. Does seem to share some elements - can you recall why by any chance?

Necronom was a decent R-Type style shooter by Linel on the Amiga, but was also planned for conversion to the C64 by Pantheon Development in 1990. GTW managed to recover some art assets several years ago, but how far exactly did the canned conversion get?

Galander was a first person action game for PC, in dev by Detalion Games between 2005-2010. A fantasy world game with tactical fighting, it was never to be and the game sank without a trace. Thankfully some location test demos managed to escape.

Joe also highlighted his article with Brian Babendererde, creator of Phantom 2040, with a second part that contains great design document materials and brainstorming notes showing some of the process behind the development.

Two previously lost #GBA Defenders of the Earth prototypes: The Phantom and Mandrake were recovered by Joe Douglas back in 2016. Joe has given permission to mirror his original piece on the recovery, as well as the prototypes + design docs:

@michaelberry recently dug out an unused loading screen, and a logo intended for the title screen. Now added to the entry.
