Beautiful #glassart birds, SciArt and #ornithology. Find me in Snowdonia, with a long dog and a good book. Passion and opinions my own. ko-fi.com/fidhw

The only possible therapy for an autumn day so very grey and soggy is to fill my studio table with dreams of April…

If the winter silence of the seabird islands is too long for you, this slightly-over-lifesize could console you…

Just finished polishing this little and freed him on the wall…
Seabird season is over, and the empty islands hunch in an unquiet sea. I wonder if the deserted cliffs miss that weaving, crying choir when all they can hear is the growling grey of winter?

A little detail from “Kierkegaard’s Clowns” - this will be ‘inside’ the finished piece (and hard to see). But I’m happy to know it’s there! And the second photo gives you a feel for just how translucent this panel really is: the cliff and sea will loom behind it…

My is still waiting for his home - available amongst other treasures from the rather wonderful BirdScapes Gallery in Holt… possibly the most technically demanding 2D piece I’ve made; but gloriously worth every fingernail and grey hair he cost me… https://t.co/wG5rhjYZxC

The Long-tailed Tit is available from The BirdScapes Gallery, in North Norfolk. He normally hangs from a wire birch-twig 😊

I did it I did it I submitted them to AND NOW THE TIDAL WAVE OF IMPOSTOR SYNDROME HITS (why oh why did I submit 3D pieces I've only just invented they aren't even normal for me real artists will see them aaaaa...) is this why the 'submit' button is irreversible?

On here’s ‘Gwenhwyfar’ one of my two pieces. She’s close to the underworld, bird of death but also rebirth; as Blodauwedd the ‘flower-faced’ bride created for Mathonwy she was cursed to hide her face in daylight. Speak of her quietly and with respect!
