Like literally I just tried for demonstration purposes and after 6 moves each side this position hasn't been seen in the Lichess database ... so not sure how randomizing at the start would make much difference unless you're memorizing huge numbers of variations

Wow got unexpectedly checkmated in a way similar to the scholar's mate.. just using a knight to protect the queen instead of a bishop

I accidentally got into a Scholar's Mate position (with a big vulnerability) and the other side panicked so much they resigned 🧐 Either that or they just had to go (there was a long pause first)
