One of my first paintings and still a favourite because I contemplate my family history and its place in local industries - we the working class. My Grandmothers, and their sum of seven sisters all pottery paintresses. Grandfathers; soldier and butcher respectively.

Just sold this to a lady in Maryland USA ... the town is fascinated with bottle kilns after a local potter built one outside his shop!!
The good lady has family links with Spode ... did some research and found 46 bottles in Stoke-On-Trent..!!
