this is the closest I've gotten to it working. it doesn't seem to be crashing, BUT... there's some kind of glitch near the word "The"

and there we go. With the fix to the palette ordering code, the screen border is now black instead of red.

@DOSscreens now that's a title screen

switched to the HUGE memory model, and fixed up some bugs, and now we also have the trans pride crab.

and for completeness: undithered versions plus transparent version for applying to your own flags

fixed it. just needed to merge some similar colors.
