For our #Wunderkammer exhibition @hastings_museum I chose these #dinosaur stomach stones & #coprolites collected by Edward John Baily 1859-1939. We didn't know we had the fossil poos before I opened the box 3 months ago. #FossilFriday @MrIchthyosaurus @Dean_R_Lomax #Cretaceous
#Museum30 day17 is unique object. This is a notebook @hastings_museum from Philip James Rufford. On the left is his drawing of the type specimen of Williamsonia carruthersii which is in the collection at @NHM_London @NHMPalaeobotany
#Museums30 day 11 is postcards so here's an oldie #Victorian one from @FolkestoneMus featuring the highest brick viaduct #intheworld. #GuinnessWorldRecords
Tracking #dinosaurs at Fairlight near #Hastings yesterday afternoon. #FossilFriday
At 36 I've begun working @hastings_museum. In this display is Williamsonia carruthersii, a cycad found at Fairlight by Philip J Rufford who coincidently retired to Hastings at age 36. There's also his sketch of the type specimen he sent to @NHM_London next to it. #FossilFriday
